1. Give us a brief background of what you do?

Our entrepreneurial journey has so far mostly involved property investing. We like and know properties and it is a good way to build up your capital and cashflow, and also to involve and help others to do the same. Another big interest is health and beauty that we now want to start up a businesses in.

2. What are the key factors that got you to where you are today?

Curiosity, interest and understanding of goal-setting and visions. We also often say “why not”. You never know what opportunity looks like, so be open and keep your eyes open.

3. What is the key thing you want people to know about you as a power couple?

I guess we want to be role models to show that it is fun and stimulating to work together as a couple. We are open-minded, flexible and solution orientated; not afraid of digging into the hard work when we have to. It’s important for us to help others to fulfil their dreams and goals, so far by using properties - big and small - as a tool.

4. What is the best thing about working together?

To spend the days with the one you love and chose to share your life with. You grow together on your mutual journey towards your goals. We always have a lot of things to talk about that make sense for us both. You always have support, company and a helping hand. When you travel for business, you travel together, so it’s not a problem when things get delayed - you just have a mini vacation while waiting.

5. How do you balance your private life from work life when you are working together?

For us it became a new lifestyle and it feels very relaxed - even when we are working. We do what we love, so it doesn’t feel like work anymore. We often ask ourselves: What would you do if you don’t have to work at all? The answer still is: Help more people to have options in their lives. We can do that through property investment, personal development and entrepreneurship. We have a schedule we follow most days and we do set time aside for just the two of us.

6. What are some of the challenges you face when you work & live together as husband and wife?

It was most challenging in the beginning. It was easy to think you were on holiday or it was weekend, because that is usually when you spend time together during the day. We had to work hard on self-discipline and new routines. Until things run smoothly, you have to create and follow a working schedule.

7. What advice can you give couples wanting to go into business together?

Draw the line between the time you are working and when you are not - at least in the beginning, especially if you don’t have an allocated workplace. We think it’s vital with personal development to find out which personality type you both are and constantly keep on learning about it. To work together as a power couple and team, each one should focus on what they do best and enjoy most. It’s a great strength to have different advantages, abilities and skills, so don’t try to do same things and also try to understand each other.

8. What has been the hardest part of being an entrepreneur?

Uncertainty and knowing when to take a break, because you just want more growth.

9. How important is it to have a business coach & what significant role in change has your coach played in your business journey?

It is very important to have a business coach. When you are working hard and intensely on projects, you need an objective opinion about your project every now and then. It’s easy to get stuck in your own thinking. An experienced coach knows where to guide you, because they have been on that road before. Our coach has helped us to look at properties with new eyes and we are now able to create fantastic strategies.

10. How do you stay motivated and what keeps you going?

We look at our goals we set and celebrate our milestones. When you have kids like we do, just look at them and you are motivated again. As a couple you can help each other when you are having a challenging day. So far, our bad days have not fallen on the same day 😉

11. How do you overcome rejection?

See it as statistics - don’t take it personally and accept that everything is not for everybody. Move on and hurry to the ones that “click” with you and your opportunity.

12. How do you juggle parenthood with your busy schedule?

Our kids are grown up, so the juggle will be with the grandkids, I guess. We would love to involve the kids that want to work with us. If not, we support them in the field they choose.

13. What is your favourite quote and explain why?

All those days that came and went, little did I know that they were my life.
— Old Scandinavian saying

This one reminds us to live, enjoy and have fun every single day. Do the things you love and with the people you love and be grateful for every day.
