Please give us a bit of background on yourself

Giving a voice to artists, speakers and entrepreneurs, Jennifer said her becoming a recognized global summit producer, podcaster, author and health/beauty consultant is an opportunity born from her pain and most unexpected turn of events in her life.

Growing up I came from a family of hard-working immigrants from Trinidad and Tobago. My parents paved the way for success by becoming entrepreneurs and investors and taught me the values of honesty, integrity, belief, and faith. Because of my upbringing, I was able to face any challenges and unexpected paths that came my way. As all little girls, we dream about the future. I loved writing as a little girl and dreamed of becoming an author one day. I had many dreams that were ripped away from me when I learned at only age 34, I had early onset Parkinsons' Disease, a neurogenerative progressive disease. My entire life seemed unimaginable and I lost my faith and belief. I was on the brink of my career, with two little girls to take care of and my whole life staring at me. It was incredibly hard to begin picking. up the pieces of myself

What are some of your biggest achievements throughout your journey?

It was during the midst of the pandemic, I lost my corporate job, and I began feeling hopeless and. helpless. The darkest of days was upon me and I felt lost. But, I looked around me and saw how many people were suffering and losing loved ones and needed upliftment, empowerment, and motivation. I realized I had the power to change the outcome of my own story. It was during that time, I made the decision I would keep fighting for who I was and also fight for others. I wasn't going to let Parkinson's take away my ability to dream and achieve.I realized I had a higher purpose to fulfill.

I wrote my first children's book entitled "Why the Rain Isn't So Bad," a manuscript I had written years ago. I then went on to write 3 more children's books, each of which carries important life lessons for kids such as forgiveness, gratitude, and resilience. I believe in empowering children with important values. Today, I'm the author of 5 books. This was a huge accomplishment for me and put into motion my motivation to persist with purpose and passion. I finally accomplished my dream of becoming an author! There was no stopping me now. Despite the challenges of this debilitating disease, my passion and desire was in overload.
After being diagnosed, I began learning about the power of healing, just by believing in yourself and shifting your mindset. I wanted to create a heart and mind-centered movement that brought this to life and provided the tools and strategies to help unleash healing.

So. I then launched Simply Healthy Global Media, a global movement and media company offering education, empowerment, and upliftment through wellness products, podcasts, books, webinars, summits, and apparel. Under this movement is my health/beauty business, an integrated approach of the mind, body, and soul. My line consists of natural organic vitamins, supplements, clean beauty, skin, hair, and makeup. It became my goal to help people understand how what they were putting into their bodies as well as on their skin, could lead to chronic disease and/or illness. As a health/beauty consultant, I help people find the balance of the mind and body to create a life they are fulfilled and enlightened by.

I've always had a love for radio and decided to launch my podcast, Simply Real streaming on all platforms including iHeart radio, which highlights speakers, upcoming artists, entrepreneurs, and changemakers, making an impact. But I felt more was needed, the World needed something more that maybe I could offer.

I created the first annual global healing motivational summit, which is now gearing up for its 4th annual summit in 2023. This movement brings dynamic global voices together to tell their story of tragedy to triumph to forge a path of resilience, hope and faith. This year we had over 40 dynamic speakers, performers, models, businesses and brands; empowering a global community. We also had a kids empowerment segment, giving children of all ages a voice. The annual global healing motivational summit is my way of finding myself, and helping others to do the same. As a global summit producer, I also help others plan, coordinate and produce their own summits. This huge accomplishment that will evolve and continue to grow, impacts communities across the globe, and encourages my motto of , “The impossible is ALWAYS possible.”

What are 3 business principles that are of core value to you?

The principles and values I've adopted in building my; are purpose, passion and persistence, Live each day with purpose, create with passion, and keep doing it every day with persistence. lead with compassion and heart and always aim to help others

What is the hardest part of being an entrepreneur?

The challenges of life translate to business. The hardest part of entrepreneurship is the battle we are each fighting; living with content and peace. The more we obtain, the more we want and that cycle continues. The difficulty is how to truly achieve ultimate satisfaction.

How do you stand out in this digital world?

This era presents many opportunities and for me it’s about utilizing everything with balance and ease. I’m creating tools and strategies within a virtual community accessible to a global audience. Any community from different parts of the world can be a part of creating changes for themselves and others.

What was one of the biggest mistakes that you have made throughout your journey and what lesson did you learn from it?

Although being an entrepreneur was never an imaginable thought in my head years ago, the unexpected stumbling block, became my stepping stone to new possibilities and opportunities. Every mistake or so-called failure I've made has led me to this path. Each day is a new learning opportunity. There was a time I stopped believing in myself and that was the biggest mistake, but also an evolving moment in my life.

What is your key to success?

Through my journey, I've learned the key to success is love, gratitude, forgiveness, family, friendship and honesty. True contentment comes from our ability to develop and maintain important relationships with our loved ones, and most of all ourselves. If we don't have peace and heartful intentions, our actions become thoughtless.

What does success mean to you?

Believing and manifesting the life you want comes from your own thoughts, actions and beliefs. Have a strong foundation of family and friends to support you, but most of all know who you are and love yourself

unconditionally.
