In 2016, Lacy had experienced stroke-like symptoms such as headaches, slurred speech and face paralasis. After countless tests, MRIs, and medical opinions, she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. The infusion treatments she underwent due to her diagnosis resulted in the loss of 70% of her hair. During her time in treatment, she saw first-hand how women with cancer and autoimmune diseases struggle with hair loss and how it affects their confidence. Many of them shared their desire for hair extensions, inspiring Lacy to create something special for these women. Her experiences and interactions also sparked the idea to create the Laced Hair Foundation. The foundation’s purpose is to give Laced Hair Extensions to the women who need them and to restore their confidence.
