Along with Laced Hair Extensions, Lacy  is also the founder of the Laced Hair Foundation, where she is dedicated to helping and honoring women who struggle with hair loss— something that Lacy has personally been affected by.

In 2016, Lacy had experienced stroke-like symptoms such as headaches, slurred speech and face paralasis. After countless tests, MRIs, and medical opinions, she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. The infusion treatments she underwent due to her diagnosis resulted in the loss of 70% of her hair. During her time in treatment, she saw first-hand how women with cancer and autoimmune diseases struggle with hair loss and how it affects their confidence. Many of them shared their desire for hair extensions, inspiring Lacy to create something special for these women. Her experiences and interactions also sparked the idea to create the Laced Hair Foundation. The foundation’s purpose is to give Laced Hair Extensions to the women who need them and to restore their confidence. A special addition to the website also allows you to nominate a loved one or yourself to receive these hair extensions free of charge and is fully tax-deductible. Due to the innovation and entrepreneurial efforts of Laced Hair, women have felt empowered throughout their journey, gaining confidence and love for themselves that they had lost.

Lacy has since launched the Laced Hair Academy, providing the highest quality extension training for stylists and formalized a more robust education structure. The Laced Hair Academy is part of her capstone project in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program. The Laced Hair Academy  has trained thousands of top-tier hair stylists nationwide.
